- Communication Skills
- How effective is your communication, or that of your team? Are you proficient in telephone techniques, can you write a persuasive letter or compose a motivating memorandum? Are you able to converse easily with individuals at all levels, or do you feel intimated? This course takes a look at the problems often associated with communication and helps candidates to gain confidence in their verbal and written communication.
Duration: 3 hours for a maximum of 12 candidates - Report Writing
- This course is for anyone who has the responsibility to write either formal or informal reports, or both. It identifies correct layout and terminology and is a must if your reports leave a little to be desired! Course includes both theory and practical application.
Duration: 3 hours for a maximum of 12 candidates - Recruitment & Selection Skills
- If you have the responsibility for recruiting and selecting staff you must ensure your recruitment procedures are fair and consistent and meet employment legislation requirements. This course will cover the recruitment process from placing the advertisement to recruiting the most suitable applicant.
Duration: one-day (6 hours) for a maximum of 10 candidates - Disciplinary & Grievance Procedures
- When dealing with a disciplinary situation it is absolutely essential to get follow the correct procedures. This course will identify best practice in handling grievance and disciplinary issues and will include both theory and practical application. A copy of the organisation's policy on Grievance & Disciplinary will be required prior to the commencement of the course.
Duration: one-day (6 hours) for a maximum of 10 candidates - Team Building
- Do you have responsibility for leading a team? How do you ensure your staff work together, and are supportive of one another? Can you motivate your team to perform, what are the subtle secrets? How do you handle conflict within the team, do you deal with it or run from it? A practical course for team leaders, supervisors and managers.
Duration: one-day (6 hours) for a maximum of 12 candidates - Leadership Skills
- Are you a `manager' or a `leader'. Is there a difference between the two? Are you confident of your skills when leading your colleagues, do you want to ensure your team perform to full capacity? Enhance your skills with this programme.
Duration: 4 hours for a maximum of 10 candidates - Change Management
- How often does change occur? Very often. Is it always `managed'? Rarely. Individuals generally are opposed to change, regardless of what the change is! Learn how to manage the change and implement new procedures to encounter the minimum of resistance.
Duration: 4 hours for a maximum of 12 candidates. - Motivation & Delegation Skills
- Do you have a problem motivating your staff? Are you finding delegation difficult? This programme explores the mysteries of what motivates individuals, and how to ensure you delegate the appropriate tasks to the appropriate people.
Duration: 6 hours for a maximum of 12 candidates - Understanding Budgets and Finance for the non-accounting Manager
- Most Managers need to have an understanding of how budgets are devised, how decisions are recorded and how financial forecasts relate to their business objectives. This programme will assist those managers not directly involved with the finances of the organisation, to understand the documentation that may be presented to them.
